Bernardo Ferdman is the recipient of Alliant International University‘s 2014 Provost Pillar’s Award for Applied Research and Scholarship. This award, which “honors productive scholarship that has made a significant contribution to applied issues in the honoree’s discipline” is given to one member of the Alliant community (core faculty, student, or staff) every two to four years, for work that exemplifies scholarship that advances Alliant’s mission by discovering new knowledge and/or “new applications of knowledge to solve practical problems,” demonstrating “the integration of knowledge in new ways,” and fostering innovation in teaching and in development of professional competencies.
Ferdman, Distinguished Professor in Alliant’s Organizational Psychology Programs, will be honored at a reception on Tuesday, September 23 on the San Diego campus, where he will also make a presentation on inclusion that will be broadcast to the whole university community (see http://express.alliant.edu/featured-events/provost-pillar-award-reception for details).
